Introduction
Here are the main announcements we've noted, grouped by theme.
1. E-Commerce & UX: More customisable product templates
Odoo keeps improving its e-commerce module to deliver an ever smoother, more engaging experience. In version 19, it will now be possible to customise product pages and the overall catalogue even further thanks to new editable templates.
🎯 Goal: Enable businesses to better structure and showcase their products in order to maximise visitor engagement and boost conversions.
💡 Why does this matter? UX has always been at the heart of Odoo's growth strategy, and this change reinforces that commitment by offering more attractive and functional interfaces.
2. Des solutions verticales: un ERP encore plus adapté à chaque secteur
One of the major announcements of this edition concerns the development of specific solutions for different industries. Odoo wants to go further in tailoring its features to certain business sectors with natively integrated modules.
🌍 New industries targeted, and plenty more:
- Real Estate
- Beverage
- Marketing agencies (an announcement that particularly concerns us as SEA & SEO experts!)
- etc...
🚀 Why is this a major step forward? Until now, some businesses had to add custom developments to adapt Odoo to their trade. From now on, these new solutions will let them save time and get an ERP perfectly suited to their needs right from go-live. Not to mention that these solutions will be sustainable over time, as they are supported by Odoo from version to version.
3. Point of Sale (POS): Un focus sur la restauration
The Point of Sale (POS) remains a priority for Odoo, particularly for the hospitality sector. The new version 19 will put the emphasis on optimising management tools for restaurant owners, giving them a more complete and efficient solution to centralise all their operations.
🎯 What are the benefits?
- Smoother order management
- Better synchronisation between the different points of sale
- More detailed reporting to optimise stock and sales management
4. E-Invoicing: Un enjeu crucial pour 2026
Electronic invoicing is a hot topic, particularly in Belgium, where more than 1,200,000 B2B businesses will have to switch to electronic invoicing by January 2026. Yet, to date, only 300,000 businesses are ready for this transition.
✅ Why adopt this solution right now?
- Anticipate the regulation and avoid penalties
- Save time processing invoices
- Reduce errors and administrative costs
5. Intégration de l'intelligence artificielle (IA): Un trournant majeur
This is undoubtedly one of the most exciting announcements of this edition: the arrival of a new AI module that will transform the way businesses make use of their data and automate their internal processes.
🤖 What does this new feature enable?
- A prompt builder: It will make it possible to create advanced automations and configurations in just a few clicks.
- Improving customer service: Odoo has in fact already rolled out this solution on its own website (https://www.odoo.com/fr_FR/help), and the results are impressive:
- 📉 A dramatic drop in manual tickets
- 📈 An increase in the volume of tickets handled
📌 Concrete use cases we're going to test!
- Using the prompt builder to automatically generate dynamic fields
- Smart integration of EAN barcodes directly into product records
- Using the documents module to centralise and structure a dynamic knowledge base
- Automatically generating ticket summaries thanks to AI and dynamic fields via the prompt builder.
Conclusion
Once again, Odoo shows us that it's possible to digitalise all of our processes to gain in digital maturity. And once again, integrating AI into the Odoo database makes it possible to go faster and further.
As a reminder, all of this for the modest sum of 20 € per month on average for a licence, giving access to every module of the ERP.
